How to Know Jesus as Your Personal Savior
1. Recognize Your Need for Salvation: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans
3:23).
Each of us has sinned and comes short of the perfect standard set by God. Acknowledging our sins is the first step towards finding forgiveness.
2. Understand the Consequence of Sin: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life
through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).
Sin leads to spiritual death and separation from God. However, God offers us the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
3. Believe in Jesus Christ: “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Believing in Jesus’ sacrifice and His resurrection is crucial. It’s through this belief that we can be saved from our sins.
4. Confess Your Faith: “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10).
Expressing your faith in Jesus openly is an important step. Confession of faith is both an internal belief and an external declaration.
5. Receive Jesus into Your Life: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved”
(Romans 10:13).
Jesus is offering to enter into your life and relationship. Invite Him in, and He will have fellowship with you.
6. Experience the Assurance of Salvation: “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name
of the son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life” (1 John 5:13).
When you believe on Jesus, you can have assurance of your eternal life with Him. This is a promise from God that you can trust.

If you desire to know Jesus as your personal Savior, it’s as simple as acknowledging your need, believing
in Him, confessing your faith, and inviting Him into your life. God’s gift of salvation is available to all who
come to Him in faith.
